Factors affecting production and business activities of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in 2022
Abstract
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reduced its forecast for global growth from an estimated 6.1% (2021) to 3.6% in 2022 and 2023 [1]. In particular, the World Bank forecasts that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will cause energy and non-energy prices (food and metals) in 2022 to increase by 50.5% and 19.2%, respectively [2].On the basis of examining Vietnam’s and the world’s economic and political situation, the article analyses the factors that impact the production and business activities of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). These factors have both positive and negative impacts, posing both opportunities and challenges for Petrovietnam in the implementation of its annual tasks and objectives, its 5-year plan for 20212025, and its development strategy until 2030, and vision to 2045.
