PVOIL digitalizes fuel purchasing experience with PVOIL 4U app
Abstract
On September 30, 2024, Petro Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL, stock code: OIL) announced the launch of PVOIL 4U, a fuel purchasing app for individual customers. This new product developed by PVOIL aims to provide individual customers with a convenient, smart, quick, and safe fuel purchasing experience. Customers can use the PVOIL 4U app to purchase fuel at nearly 900 petrol stations of PVOIL and COMECO nationwide.
PVOIL Chairman Cao Hoai Duong stated that PVOIL's fuel sales volume in the first 9 months of 2024 increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
Accordingly, PVOIL 4U offers comprehensive, pioneering, and specialized solutions for fuel-purchasing customers, with many outstanding features such as: "Fuel voucher gifting"; "Bank credit for fuel purchases"; providing transaction management solutions for customer groups; managing fuel purchase transactions, locating PVOIL petrol stations, managing customer vehicles, checking traffic violations; purchasing vehicle insurance, and more.
Notably, PVOIL has partnered with HDBank to offer customers the benefit of "Fill up first - Pay later" through the bank credit feature for fuel purchases. This comes with simple procedures, no need for proof of income, and zero interest if paid on time. The credit limit for each customer is up to 1 million VND.
From 3 PM on September 30, 2024, PVOIL is organizing a promotional program for the first 9,999 customers who download the app, register a PVOIL 4U account, and successfully complete their first purchase transaction on the PVOIL 4U app. These customers will receive a gift voucher worth 20,000 VND, which can be used in the next transaction to purchase fuel at nearly 900 PVOIL and COMECO petrol stations nationwide.
Simultaneously, customers using HDBank accounts will be able to participate in the "Lucky Wheel" program directly on the PVOIL 4U app from September 30, 2024, to December 15, 2024. The prize structure includes: 3 Special prizes worth 5,000,000 VND each; 90 First prizes worth 200,000 VND each; 300 Second prizes worth 100,000 VND each; 900 Third prizes worth 50,000 VND each; 4,500 Fourth prizes worth 20,000 VND each. Prizes will be deposited directly into the customer's linked HDBank payment account on the PVOIL 4U app. The prize value can only be used to pay for fuel bills or purchase fuel vouchers directly on the PVOIL 4U App and for transactions at PVOIL and COMECO petrol stations.
PVOIL Chairman Cao Hoai Duong stated that as the second-largest fuel supplier in Vietnam, PVOIL provides over 5.5 million m3/tons of fuel annually to the domestic market, accounting for about 22 - 25% of the market share. PVOIL is also leading in applying digital transformation to its business operations and management. In the first 9 months of 2024, PVOIL's fuel business volume increased by 18% compared to the same period. The company expects to achieve a revenue of about 120,000 billion VND in 2024. Additionally, PVOIL aims to develop over 100 new petrol stations this year.
A representative from HDBank shared that PVOIL 4U is the first application in Vietnam to automatically grant credit for fuel purchases. The machine learning system will automatically issue fuel credit cards to customers (without needing to go through the bank app to issue a fuel credit card); it will also learn customer habits to potentially increase the fuel credit limit after 3 months of use.
To install, customers can search for "PVOIL 4U" on the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code directly to install the PVOIL 4U app on their mobile devices. After successful installation and account registration, customers can quickly complete transactions through the following steps: (1) Log in to the PVOIL 4U app on their mobile device; (2) Select the QR code scan function; (3) Scan the order QR code; (4) Check the order information; (5) Choose the payment method and confirm. Customers can choose payment methods including cash, account, linked card, or fuel voucher. After successful payment, customers can check the information and request an invoice.
