Characteristics of slim hole and factors affecting the time and costs of well drilling and completion
Abstract
The paper introduces the main characteristics of slim hole and analyses the effect of various factors (such as geological, technological and human factors) on the time and costs of well drilling and completion. Based on that, the authors assesses the application of slim hole drilling technology for the development period of Blocks B, 48/95 and 52/97 and its potential application in the continental shelf of Vietnam.
