Research of surfactant-polymer chemical flooding solution for Lower Miocene formation of Bach Ho field south block and assessment of its EOR efficiency
Abstract
The paper presents the possibility of applying surfactant–polymer chemical flooding solution for the Lower Miocene formation of Bach Ho field South Block and evaluates the factors influencing the flooding process. Based on the results of research on chemical systems in the laboratory and on the physical reservoir model, the authors describe the results of development of production and injection scenarios to optimise the development plan as well as evaluate the efficiency of enhanced oil recovery on the production simulation model. The evaluation results show that the SP chemical flooding can help improve the oil recovery factor of the observation wells from 10% to 40%.
