Evaluating the effectiveness of Driller’s and Wait & Weight methods in well killing operations
Abstract
The article presents the Driller’s method and Wait and Weight (W&W) method which are widely used to kill wells when there is inflow of formation fluid into the well. In particular, it focuses on analysing the effectiveness of these two methods on the basis of comparing drill pipe pressure, surface pressure at choke.
