Influence of boron on the characteristics of Pt/B-SBA-15 catalyst for hydrogenation of tetralin
Abstract
The paper presents the result of direct synthesis of B-SBA-15 with Si:B ratio of 10 using boric acid as boron source. Wetness impregnation (WI) method is used to load platinum on B-SBA-15. The obtained support and catalyst was characterised by nitrogen adsorption/desorption measurement (BET), XRD, TEM, and TPD-NH3 to investigate the influence of B on the characteristics of the catalyst. The activity of the bifunctional catalyst was tested for hydrogenation of tetralin at 200oC, H2 pressure 20at in 3 hours.
