Abstract

The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) is currently leading the country in investment and generation of gas power with 4 active combined-cycle power plants, namely Ca Mau 1 and Ca Mau 2, Nhon Trach 1 and Nhon Trach 2. These power plants have been in commercial operation for over 5 years, with regular and periodical maintenance and repair according to schedule to ensure their safe, stable and efficient operations. The article evaluates the status of maintenance and repair models and operations, compare several types of maintenance contracts for combined-cycle power plants, and from which draw lessons for the maintenance and repair of Petrovietnam’s combined-cycle power plants.
