Abstract

The Paris Agreement on Climate Change, adopted at the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, aims to cut down greenhouse emissions and hold the increase in global temperature to well below 2 celsius degree above pre-industrial levels. President Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw the US from the Paris Agreement has caused a severe shock to global efforts of countries in the world to stop global warming. The paper focuses on analysing the implications, consequences and changes in the implementation of the Paris Agreement following the US President’s decision.
