Study on optimisation of function additives for E10 ethanol-blended gasoline
Abstract
VPI-G additive package for E10 ethanol-blended gasoline contains functional chemical components of anti-separation, anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation and anti-deposition that overcome the shortcomings of ethanol fuels. To enhancce the functions of ethanol-blended gasoline, the VPI-G additive package has been optimised by experiment plans and mathematical modelling methods.
Evaluation results on the performance properties of E10 ethanol-blended gasoline using the optimised VPI-G additives in comparison with a reference additive package (Keropur 3600) show that the VPI-G additive package has the same engine operating capabilities as the Keropur additive package and its storaging capability is better than that of Keropur 3600.
