Trends in ESG adoption and some proposals for Vietnam Oil and Gas Group
Abstract
The integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) into business strategies is becoming an inevitable and increasingly urgent trend in the energy industry, with an increasing focus on carbon emission reduction, investment in renewable energy, and enhanced transparency in corporate governance.
This paper provides a detailed analysis of ESG adoption trends in the global energy industry and proposes specific recommendations for Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). Accordingly, Petrovietnam needs to develop a comprehensive ESG roadmap, including specific and measurable objectives, to enhance its competitive position and ensure sustainable development in the global energy transition trend.
